| Lucky helped Cricket into the soft bed then went into Kit's room. She jumped on her bed and purred, trying to cheer her up.
Maybe when it's not raining I'll look for the dog. | |

| Daisy crossed the corral, the meadow, until she arrived at the forest. She sighed. "I sure will miss Kit," She muttered to herself. " I hope she will be okay for awhile..." She started nosing through a big pile of leaves, sheltered by bracken, bushes, and the remains of a fallen tree. This will make a good spot. She thought. Daisy started digging herself a nest to spend the night. She curled up in the center of it, pressing her fur close to the crispy leaves to stay warm. Slowly, she closed her eyes. | |
